MATTOON, Illinois, June 2 -- First Mid Bancshares issued the following news release:
First Mid Insurance Group is pleased to welcome Brian Gruber as an Employee Benefits Relationship Manager, serving communities within the First Mid footprint in Northern Illinois and Wisconsin. With over 20 years of industry experience, Gruber is an accomplished executive leader in the insurance and employee benefits sectors, having worked extensively in the Peoria and Rockford, Illinois, and southern Wisconsin markets. He will assume the responsibility for growing group health insurance business in new and existing markets for First Mid Insurance Group.
"I have known Brian for years, and he is not only universally respected in the employee benefits community in central and northern Illinois, but he is a person with strong family and community ties to the area," says Clay Dean, CEO at First Mid Insurance Group.

A native of Peoria, Gruber earned a Bachelor of Arts from Wabash College. He is extensively involved in community organizations, including Creve Coeur Club, Peoria Chamber of Commerce, and Illinois Central College.
