Washington, D.C.-- The top Republican on the House Ways and Means Committee Kevin Brady (R-TX) released the following statement on President Trump's Executive Order on Protecting and Improving Medicare For Our Nation's Seniors:
"I applaud President Trump and his Administration for tirelessly working to protect, improve, and expand existing Medicare programs. I am encouraged by the President's commitment to increase available Medicare benefits, promoting new technologies that expand health care access across the country, particularly in rural communities, eliminate fraud and abuse within the system, and put America's seniors first.
"Medicare Advantage plans continue to give seniors more choices, encourage competition, and lower the cost of health care. While Democrats push their dangerous Medicare-for-All scheme that would cancel Medicare Advantage plans for 22 million seniors and force patients onto endless waitlists, President Trump and Republicans are devoted to providing access to affordable, quality health care for all Americans.
