Babysitting Basics/Safety Savvy: 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 3; 1870 Town Hall, 12 Woodward St. American Red Cross' Babysitting Basics class covers a wide range of information that can help new babysitters gain the skills and confidence needed to care for infants and children. Gifts for Seniors: The Berlin Council on Aging is seeing donations to make sure seniors are not forgotten at the holidays. All items should be new with tags. Suggestions include: Holiday cards, non-skid socks, flashlights, sugar free candy, adult coloring books, soft granola bars, cookies or crackers, large-print crosswords or word search books, lotion, shampoo, deodorant, coin purse, stuffed animal, toothbrush, toothpaste, throw blanket, mittens, hats, combs, brushes and shower caps. This class requires a thick yoga or Pilates mat, water and a yoga strap if you have one. Work the body through a series of core exercises executed both standing and on the mat. Bolton Access TV: Oct. 13-19: A recent performance of the Atlantic Wind Symphony, directed by Earl Raney, is broadcast all weekat 8 p.m. Sue Flanagan from Blue Cross Blue Shield visited the Council on Aging to discuss the many different Medicare options available. Bolton 5K FUNdRun Festival: Saturday, Oct. 12, at 10:30 a.m. at Schartner Farm, 279 West Berlin Road. The event will raise money for the newly-formed Bolton Community Fund, started by the Bolton Rally Group. There will be local vendors, food trucks, a raffle, backyard farmers and a corn maze. Adult registration is $35, youths 15 and under $20, before Oct. 9. Young run registration is $15. The first 150 registrants get a free T-shirt. Cabin Fever Winter Festival: noon-4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020, on the Bolton Town Common. The Rotary Club of Nashoba Valley is running the event and all net proceeds will benefit the towns of Bolton, Lancaster and Stow. There will be a chili challenge from local residents, a pull-a-person sled race, a sled parade, touch a fire truck, decorate a snowperson, scavanger hunt, winter corn hole contest and other activities.
