Targeted News Service (Press Releases)

MEMPHIS, Tennessee, June 5 -- Baker Donelson, a law firm, issued the following news release:

Kenneth M. Klemm of Baker Donelson was recognized recently by the Southeast Louisiana Council of Scouting America at the Pillars of Scouting Luncheon held at the Audubon Tea Room.

A litigator with more than 30 years of experience handling commercial disputes, personal and property damages, and related insurance issues, Mr. Klemm is a shareholder in Baker Donelson's New Orleans office and serves as co-chair of the Oil and Gas Industry Service Team. His experience includes breach of contract claims, royalty disputes, lease disputes, environmental and toxic tort claims, products liability, negligence, and insurance coverage disputes. Additionally, he has argued before Louisiana state appellate courts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and has been licensed in the U.S. Supreme Court since 1994.

Mr. Klemm's experience with Scouting extends for more than 50 years. He earned the Eagle Scout rank in 1979 and re-joined Scouts after Hurricane Katrina to serve as a unit leader, commissioner, and district chair. He has been on the Southeast Louisiana Council Executive Board for 14 years. Currently, Mr. Klemm serves as Vice President of Program for the Council and oversees several areas including activities and civic service, advancement, camping and outdoor, and training. Mr. Klemm also is a U.S. Army veteran who served on active duty as the intelligence officer for the 141st Field Artillery Battalion (the "Washington Artillery") during Operation Desert Shield/Storm.

The Southeast Louisiana Council provides youth development and leadership programs to approximately 3,500 young people in 11 parishes through Cub Scouting, Scouts BSA, Venturing, and Exploring programs. Funds raised at the Pillars of Scouting Luncheon go towards a variety of program services, including unit organization, youth recruitment, volunteer training, equipment, activities, and insurance.
