BA STATEMENT ON SENATE CONFIRMATION OF KEVIN WARSH AS FEDERAL RESERVE GOVERNOR

Consumer Bankers Association (CBA) President and CEO Lindsey Johnson issued the following statement in response to the U.S. Senate voting to confirm Kevin Warsh as a Board member for the Federal Reserve, appointed to a 14-year term:
"CBA congratulates Kevin Warsh on his confirmation to serve on the Federal Reserve'sBoard of Governors. Kevin brings a rare combination of experience, credibility, and steady leadership at a pivotal moment for the U.S. economy. His deep understanding of financial markets and the banking system will be critical as policymakers work to support growth and expand opportunity for American households and businesses.
