Assurant Announces Secondary Public Offering of Common Stock By TPG Capital

NEW YORK, March 18 -- Assurant, a risk management solutions provider, issued the following news release:

Assurant, Inc. (NYSE: AIZ) (the "Company" or "Assurant"), a global provider of risk management solutions, today announced an underwritten secondary public offering of all of the remaining 7,869,230 shares of its common stock held by certain affiliates of TPG Global, LLC.

These shares were originally part of the 10,069,230 shares issued to certain affiliates of TPG Global, LLC for the purchase of The Warranty Group in May 2018. Assurant will not sell any shares in the offering and will not receive any proceeds from the offering.

Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC is acting as the underwriter for the offering.
