Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. Announces Corporate Officer Appointments

ITASCA, Ill., June 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (NYSE: AJG) is pleased to announce that its Board of Directors has appointed Walter P. Bryce, Sean P. Connelly, James J. Murray, Russell G. Parsons, Russell J. Pass and Jonathon M. Winsbury as Corporate Vice Presidents.

Mr. Bryce began his career in retail insurance in 1982.  He joined the company as an acquisition partner in 1995 (Bryce Insurance Agency) and has served in various sales and management positions in the company's retail property/casualty brokerage business.  He currently serves as the Director of Business Development for this division.

Mr. Connelly joined the company in 2015 as its Global Chief Information Officer.  In this position, he is responsible for leading the global technology initiatives and for aligning IT objectives and programs to our corporate objectives and strategies.  He brings 28 years of technology leadership experience with financial services firms.

Mr. Murray began his insurance career in 1985.  He joined the company in 1992 and has held various sales and management positions within the company's retail benefits brokerage business both at the branch and divisional level.  He currently serves as Executive Vice President, Legislative Compliance & Risk Management for this division.

Mr. Parsons has worked in the insurance industry for over 37 years.  He joined the company in 1985 and served in various claims and account management positions within the company's third-party claims management business.  In 1992, he was on the team that established this division's international operations.  He currently serves as Executive Officer of those international operations.

Mr. Pass has over 30 years of experience working in the financial services and insurance industries.  He joined the company in 2011 as Chief Information Officer of its third-party claims management business, with responsibility for sustaining its leadership position in the use of technology to drive client results.  He currently heads up both information technology and product development for the division.

Mr. Winsbury has over 29 years in the insurance and claims industry.  He joined the company in 1998 and has held various management positions within the company's Australian third-party claims management business.  He currently serves as Managing Director of the Australia, New Zealand and Asia Pacific operations for this division.
