Argo Group Welcomes John Lecci as SVP, Head of Professional Liability

May 28, 2024 - Argo Group International Holdings, Inc., an underwriter of specialty insurance, today announced the appointment of John Lecci as senior vice president, head of professional liability. Reporting directly to Steven Boughal, head of Argo Group's professional lines, Lecci will bring his extensive experience and leadership to Argo Group, effective immediately.

Lecci has more than 23 years of experience in risk management, underwriting, product development, and broker relations. He joins Argo Group following his role as senior director of U.S. professional E&O at Markel where he successfully managed a $110 million portfolio with a diverse range of professional lines. Additionally, he previously served in management roles at Axis Capital and Capital One Bank.

"John's proven track record and expertise in professional liability and financial services make him a valuable addition to our team. We are excited to welcome him and are confident his leadership will further strengthen our capabilities and client relationships at Argo," said Boughal.

Lecci received his bachelor's degree from Ithaca College and juris doctorate from Quinnipiac University School of Law. He also attended the Capital One Leadership Development Program at the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business in 2007.
