Aon Names Sherif Zakhary as CEO of Strategy and Technology Group in Reinsurance Solutions

NEW YORK, April 17, 2023 - Aon plc (NYSE: AON), a leading global professional services firm, today named Sherif Zakhary as chief executive officer of its Strategy and Technology Group within Reinsurance Solutions, effective immediately, to build more resilient businesses for its clients.

Based in New York, Zakhary will lead over 500 colleagues worldwide to accelerate the evolution of Aon's insurance consulting capabilities and enable clients to make better business decisions that navigate volatility, optimize capital, and drive performance and growth.

Launched in early 2022, Aon's Strategy and Technology Group takes a holistic view of insurers' businesses, combining consulting and software to provide data-driven, actionable insights. To define and achieve strategic goals, the team informs and advises re/insurers and capital providers on a range of opportunities from profitable growth and operational efficiency to building customer relevance and better deploying capital.

Capitalizing on Aon's professionals across Reinsurance, Commercial Risk, Health, Wealth and Human Capital Solutions, the team is able to deliver capabilities to clients, from advice to execution of transactions.

Reporting to Andy Marcell, CEO of Aon's Reinsurance Solutions, Zakhary was previously co-head of Aon's strategy consulting team for insurers and has held senior positions at Guy Carpenter, Zurich and MetLife.
