Ambetter from Superior HealthPlan Available In More Texas Counties in 2019

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 1, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Beginning Nov. 1 through Dec. 15, Ambetter from Superior HealthPlan will extend healthcare coverage to three new counties in Texas through the federal Health Insurance Marketplace. The new counties include Hunt, Parker, and Starr counties. Texas residents in 44 counties, including in the Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio areas, can choose Ambetter this year.

"Ambetter from Superior HealthPlan has steadily grown over the last few years so that we can make healthcare accessible across Texas, and we are continuing that effort by offering the product in three more counties in 2019," said Mark Sanders, Superior's President and CEO. "The focus of our Ambetter plans is to offer affordable, quality care, allowing our members to receive the benefits and services they need in their trusted communities."

Ambetter includes all of the essential health benefits, including preventive and wellness services, maternity and newborn care, pediatric services, mental health and substance abuse services, hospitalization, and prescription drug coverage. Plans also include vision coverage, a 24/7 nurse advice line, and the My Health PaysTM program where members can earn rewards to use towards healthcare expenses for participating in healthy activities.  

Superior has been serving Texas since 1999 and currently serves more than 1.2 million members across its Medicaid, Medicare and Health Insurance Marketplace plans. Below is the full list of counties in which Ambetter from Superior HealthPlan will be offered in 2019:
