AM Best to Participate in Investment Panel Discussion at IAIS’ Global Seminar

AM Best will participate in an investment panel discussion at the International Association of Insurance Supervisors’ (IAIS) Global Seminar, which will be held virtually July 9-11, 2024.

AM Best Chief Rating Officer Stefan Holzberger will take part in a session titled, “Insurers’ Asset Management in a Changing Interest Rate Environment.” This session will consider the steps insurers are taking to adjust to the challenging monetary policy landscape, including the resulting risks and opportunities.

The panel will be moderated by IAIS Executive Committee Vice Chair Charlotte Gerken, who is executive director of the Bank of England. Joining Holzberger on the panel will be Keisuke Kawasaki, chief investment officer, Nippon Life Insurance; Tim Schmidt, senior vice president and chief investment officer, Prudential Financial; and Julia Wiens, chief executive director for Insurance and Pension Funds Supervision, German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority.
