AM Best Analysts to Present Canada Insurance Market Analysis, Highlight Innovation at Annual Briefing in Toronto

OLDWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- AM Best will host an Insurance Market Briefing on the state of Canada’s insurance industry at the Sheraton Centre Toronto on Friday, Sept. 13, 2019.

AM Best analysts will deliver market insights and present overviews of Canada’s property/casualty and life sectors, which will include benchmarking analysis and rating trends. Analysts also will explore emerging issues for carriers and hot topics, such as insurance industry innovation, at this complimentary annual event.

Life: Senior Financial Analysts Mike Adams and Anthony McSwieney will talk about how life insurers fared in 2018, and highlight Canada-specific macroeconomics, how investment portfolios are performing and where regulatory changes stand;
Property/Casualty: Director Raymond Thomson, Senior Financial Analyst Gordon McLean and Financial Analyst Dan Heitlinger will review 2018 financial results, as well as examine weather- and auto-related loss trends. This session also will look at AM Best’s views on the global reinsurance industry, benchmarking and other topics of interest;
