Allied Trust Launches Homeowners Insurance in North Carolina, Providing Coverage Focused Insurance Options for Coastal Residents

Business Wire

TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Allied Trust Insurance Company, a leading provider of coastal-focused homeowners insurance, is pleased to announce the further expansion of its homeowners insurance program in North Carolina. Allied Trust first entered the North Carolina home insurance market in 2022 after a successful transition of business from Lighthouse Property Insurance. The company will begin writing new policies in the coming weeks. North Carolina is the fourth state in Allied Trust’s portfolio which also includes South Carolina, Texas, and Louisiana.

A-rated Allied Trust looks to build on its success in those other states by becoming the carrier of choice for independent agents in the state of North Carolina. The company’s innovative approach and focus on core values, along with its superior customer service and ease of use for agents, will ensure the ability to fulfill the promise to be there when our North Carolina policyholders need us most.

Brian Keefer, President, and co-founder of Allied Trust is enthusiastic about the company’s expansion into North Carolina: “We are excited to announce the launch of our homeowners product in the state of North Carolina. With comprehensive coverage options, innovative features, and fair pricing we are dedicated to providing protection for homeowners in catastrophe prone areas of the state. Since our initial expansion into North Carolina in 2022, our team has worked to develop our own homeowners product, and we look forward to introducing additional products soon.”

Allied Trust currently offers Homeowners, Boat, and Flood insurance in North Carolina and plans to expand its available products to Dwelling Fire, Condo, and Umbrella in the coming months. Products are sold exclusively through top-rated independent agents in the state.

About Allied Trust:

In 2015, Brian Keefer co-founded Allied Trust with the aim of establishing an insurance company dedicated to helping people by providing exceptional claims and customer service, streamlined business processes for policyholders and independent agent partners, and a family atmosphere where employees could contribute, grow, and thrive.

  • Allied Trust has a Financial Stability Rating (FSR) of “A Exceptional” by Demotech and is admitted by the state of North Carolina.

  • Products are fully customizable and designed for homeowners who understand the importance of having the right insurance to protect their most valuable assets.
