Business Wire

Specialized expertise enhances Alliant’s support for first responders and public safety labor unions

IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Alliant Insurance Services has announced the acquisition of Union First, a specialized benefits consulting and third-party administration firm serving public safety labor associations—including police, firefighters, and deputy sheriffs. Union First will join Alliant’s Employee Benefits Group – West Region, bringing extensive experience in benefits consulting, trust administration, and tailored solutions exclusively for first responders and public safety professionals.

Union First’s comprehensive service offerings include benefits consulting, claims advocacy, collective bargaining support, and Benefit Trust administration. These services aim to ensure that first responders receive the best possible care while optimizing cost efficiency.

“Union First’s deep expertise in the unique needs of public safety organizations makes them a tremendous asset to Alliant,” said Greg Zimmer, Chief Executive Officer of Alliant. “Their focus on client-first service and understanding of the public safety culture aligns perfectly with Alliant’s mission to deliver exceptional, tailored benefits solutions to those who serve and protect our communities.”

“Alliant’s extensive resources and expertise will allow us to enhance and expand our services while staying true to our mission of putting the union and its members first,” said Tim Regan, President and Chief Executive Officer of Union First. “We are excited to join forces with Alliant, knowing that our shared values of service and excellence will only strengthen our ability to support the dedicated men and women of public safety.”

Founded on a commitment to serving public safety professionals, Union First delivers specialized benefits solutions customized to meet the needs of each client. Known for its proprietary underwriting models and ability to modernize administrative protocols, Union First offers unions cost-effective, efficient solutions without compromising member benefits.

The Union First team will join Alliant, with the terms of the agreement undisclosed.
