AHIP Announces Decision by President & CEO Matt Eyles to Step Down at End of Q3

Through Eyles' tenure - nearly five years as CEO and more than eight years at AHIP in total - AHIP consistently achieved key advocacy successes and built a stronger organization through growth in membership and non-dues revenues. Among AHIP's major advocacy and reputational accomplishments during his time as CEO include significant growth in Medicare Advantage, Medicaid managed care and ACA marketplace enrollment; permanently eliminating the health insurance tax; enacting legislation to protect consumers from surprise medical bills; advancing health equity efforts through the Vaccine Community Connectors program and other key initiatives; helping secure an extension of the enhanced ACA premium subsidies through 2025; and rebranding AHIP to recognize the industry's role extends well beyond health insurance coverage to providing solutions that are "Guiding Greater Health."
