Ageas Appoints New Director of Distribution

HAMPSHIRE, England, Feb. 26 -- Ageas, an insurance group company, issued the following news release:

- Russell White will join Ageas's UK team in March 2020

Ageas has confirmed the external hire of Russell White as the new director of distribution for regional brokers, niche and specialist schemes.

Russell will take responsibility for the growth of Ageas's regional broker heartland, and oversee the further development of the niche and specialist schemes propositions across personal and commercial lines.

With around 25 years of broad industry experience, and a proven track record of developing SME and e-trading in particular, Russell is well versed in developing solutions for the regional broker market across all major software houses and platforms acquired during his time with both RSA and Allianz.

This appointment concludes the new intermediated distribution structure announced by Ageas in October last year, where Darren Whittaker took on the role as Director of Distribution for large personal lines brokers and affinity partnerships; while Mark Auchterlonie was appointed Director of Distribution for large commercial lines brokers and new business development. All three roles report to Ant Middle, Chief Customer Officer, responsible for UK wide distribution, proposition development and service delivery.
