Aeroflow Offers Breast Pumps to Mom's Covered by TRICARE

PR Web

Asheville, NC (PRWEB) September 30, 2015

Aeroflow Breastpumps has proudly helped mothers across the country receive a breast pump at little-to-no cost through insurance and the Affordable Care Act. Prior to July 1, 2015 moms covered by TRICARE, a health care program administered by the Department of Defense, were not able to receive a personal use breast pump through insurance. Under the updated TRICARE policy, Aeroflow Breastpumps is excited to now provide personal use breastpumps to these new and expectant mothers.

Under their new policy, TRICARE will now include coverage of breast pumps, breast pump supplies, and breastfeeding counseling at no cost for new mothers, including those who adopt an infant and plan to breastfeed. In order to obtain a breast pump, a prescription from a TRICARE-authorize provider is required. The prescription will state whether a manual, electric, or hospital-grade breast pump is needed. For more information on TRICARE's updated breast pump policy, you can visit their website: http://www.tricare.mil/breastpumps.

With over a decade of experience in the industry, Aeroflow Breastpumps understands how difficult it can be for moms to navigate the insurance maze. Because of this, pregnant and nursing women are able to qualify online for their free breast pump through insurance and then Aeroflow takes care of the rest. Aeroflow will contact mom's insurance provider to verify coverage and reimbursement as well as submit all required paperwork. Not only that, Aeroflow will ship mom her breast pump directly to her door free of charge.

"We are honored to now be able to offer moms with TRICARE a breast pump," states Jennifer Jordan, Breastpump Team Lead at Aeroflow. "We appreciate the service these women have provided our country and are eager to assist them in any way possible."

Because each breastfeeding journey is unique, in early 2014 Aeroflow Breastpumps expanded their basic insurance breast pump offerings to include upgrade breast pump packages. Offering 4x more pumps than other suppliers, moms are able to choose from a variety of pumps from brands such as Medela, Ameda, Spectra, and Hygeia.

Aeroflow Breastpumps, a subsidiary of Aeroflow Healthcare, is a Durable Medical Equipment (DME) provider specializing in helping pregnant and nursing women qualify for their free breastpump through insurance and the Affordable Care Act.
