ADEPT Driver to Showcase Crash Reduction Tech Products at InsureTech Connect

PR Newswire

LAS VEGAS, Sept. 29, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- ADEPT Driver, a research and development company that builds proven crash avoidance training technology, will showcase its innovative crash reduction tech products at InsureTech Connect. The event, held in Las Vegas, NV at the Caesars Palace Hotel and Casino October 3-4, brings together entrepreneurs, investors, and insurance industry innovators from across the globe. ADEPT Driver products will be available for test driving in Exhibit Hall booth 101.

"Using our proven crash reduction training and assessment technology, we can provide insurers with evidence that driver safety performance has improved after drivers complete ADPET Driver training programs," said Dr. Richard Harkness, CEO of ADEPT Driver. "We can also integrate human factors psychometric data with mobile or other devices that track and monitor a vehicle's motion and other attributes. We are excited to share our groundbreaking technology that can give insurance carriers and fleet managers critical data to improve management decisions and profitability while lowering loss costs."

ADEPT Driver recently launched Psychometric-Based Insurance™ (PBI), a new predictive analytics service specifically designed for insurance underwriters and fleet managers. Using human factors data from psychometric assessments of driver crash avoidance skills, insurers can refine predictive analytics for customer selection, retention and underwriting.

ADEPT Driver products also include:

  • teenSMART - identifies and address the six behavioral and social factors that cause more than 90% of all teen collisions.
  • Lifelong Driver - specifically created to extend the driving life of mature drivers.
  • Prosecution Diversion – a new product tailored to the judicial and court systems that provides an alternative for judges and courts looking for effective programs to replace current "rules of the road" court-mandated programs.

According to California Department of Insurance rate fillings, ADEPT's programs are the only crash avoidance training programs to ever demonstrate a 51% reduction in costs for bodily injury to others, a 29% reduction in costs for property damage to others, a 27% reduction in medical costs for occupants of the car, a 27% reduction in damage cost to vehicles, and an overall 30% reduction in crash frequency.

Because of the programs' verified impact on reducing crash frequency, reducing crash severity and improving profitability for insurers, many insurance companies partner with ADEPT and offer discounts for teen drivers that have completed teenSMART. These insurance partners enjoy a competitive advantage. Departments of Insurance in 49 states have approved insurance discounts for teens that complete the teenSMART program.
