AAA – The Auto Club Group Releases Innovative Insurance Tech in Florida

The new platform tracks, scores and improves driving behavior for AAA Members and Insurance Customers

DEARBORN, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- In October 2018, Auto Club South Insurance Company (ACSIC) launched AAADrive™ Insurance Discount in Florida. The platform gives insurance customers the ability to view and receive a score of their driving behavior on their smartphones and earn potential discounts on their auto policy. This marks one of the first such smartphone-based telematics products to be approved by the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation.

This ground-breaking technology, powered by The Floow, is called AAADrive™ and is featured in the AAAMobile® app. The platform allows insurance companies to gather telematics-based data about driver behavior and more accurately predict risk. The benefit for drivers is improved driver safety and lower insurance premiums. Insurance customers who use AAADrive™ can earn up to a 30 percent discount on their insurance premium.¹
