A.M. Best Associate Director to Join Panel on Evolving Bermuda Market Dynamics at Insurance Risk and Capital Conference

OLDWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- A.M. Best will participate in InsuranceERM’s Insurance Risk and Capital Bermuda conference, being held Oct. 2, 2018, at the Rosewood Bermuda in Hamilton, Bermuda.

Susan Molineux, an associate director in A.M. Best’s property/casualty ratings division, will participate on a panel session at 9:30 a.m. (EDT), titled, “Regulatory Panel Discussion: How Have the Latest Regulations Changed the Industry and How Can We Be Best Prepared for New Ones?” The panel discussion will explore regulatory and legislative updates that took place in the past year, how they impacted the Bermuda insurance and reinsurance industries, as well as expected upcoming regulations and how well companies are prepared. Other topics the panel will discuss include the effect of the Base Erosion Anti-Abuse Tax, or BEAT tax, stemming from U.S. tax reform; expected impacts due to planned changes to Bermuda’s capital adequacy framework and the importance of governance and control. The panel also will include regulators from Bermuda, the United Kingdom and the United States.
