Xactware Enhances XactAnalysis Quality Review

Xactware has enhanced its quality assurance solution, XactAnalysis® Quality Review, to help automate many reinspection tasks, increase productivity, and maintain quality in claims handling.

XactAnalysis QR is an optional module available in Xactware's full-cycle claims management network, XactAnalysis®, that lets insurance carriers reinspect claims assignments to make sure repair estimates appropriately match the work required to restore a structure. The solution now supports an integration that allows users to download reinspection assignments directly to Xactimate®, Xactware's claims estimating software solution, so they can reinspect claims faster and more effectively.

"Reinspection is a great way to ensure that claims are settled properly," said K.C. Agrelius, Xactware's assistant vice president of XactAnalysis. "However, it's typically a long, cumbersome process. With the new integration between XactAnalysis QR and Xactimate, that's no longer the case."

The new enhancement works in this fashion: When a claim is flagged for review, the reinspector can download a copy of the original assignment to Xactimate -- including the estimate, sketches, photos, and more. From there, the reinspector can examine the claim details to make sure the loss was properly scoped and that the estimate includes rates for all materials and labor necessary to repair the structure. If room dimensions were recorded incorrectly, the reinspector can quickly adjust them, and if repair items were overestimated, underestimated, or misidentified, they can be easily fixed.

As those changes are made, Xactimate automatically recalculates surface areas and quantities of repair items to refine the final estimate total. Once completed, the reinspector can return the report to company headquarters via XactAnalysis.

"There's no more need to enter data or recalculate estimate totals by hand during reinspection," Agrelius said. "Carriers can use the new features in XactAnalysis QR to save hours of time on reinspecting claims, while maintaining their ability to offer high levels of customer service."
