Watermark Medical Adds Second Home Sleep Device to its Cloud Platform

Watermark Medical Announces Availability of CareFusion’s NOX-T3 Home Sleep Testing Device in addition to its FDA-Cleared ARES™ Home Sleep Device

BOCA RATON, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Watermark Medical, Inc. (“Watermark”), the leader in Health Information Technology for managing chronic diseases, announced today that the company will offer the NOX-T3 Home Sleep Testing (HST) device by CareFusion (NYSE: CFN), a leading, global medical technology company.

Watermark Medical is known for offering the first and only automated end-to-end service for the diagnosis and treatment of sleep breathing disorders through their web-based health IT platform, utilizing the ARES™ an FDA-cleared, state-of-the-art, wireless home sleep test device. CareFusion shares in Watermark Medical’s mission to diagnose chronic disease patients who suffer the effects of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). The NOX-T3 portable sleep monitor will be available through Watermark Medical’s network and offers a second HST option for patients, in addition to the ARES™.

“We are excited to add another HST option to our current offering,” said Charlie Alvarez, president of Watermark Medical. “As OSA awareness increases and insurance companies are mandating a home sleep test option, availability of the CareFusion NOX-T3 home sleep testing device allows us to further expand the Watermark Medical platform and allow other HST devices to access our extensive physician, sleep lab and DME networks."

With home sleep testing being named one of the Top Innovative Technologies of 2010 by the Cleveland Clinic, Watermark has revolutionized HST and their clients have diagnosed thousands of patients who were unaware that they have been suffering from OSA because of their fear of a traditional sleep lab. The ARES™ is a physiological recorder used to monitor and store up to three nights of nocturnal data, measuring, among other factors, blood oxygen saturation, airflow, pulse rate and snoring levels. Via the web, a doctor can upload the data to Watermark's network for analysis by both registered sleep technologists and physicians boarded in Sleep Medicine. CareFusion’s NOX-T3 portable sleep monitor features an array of sleep sensors, including a Bluetooth® receiver. The product will be available via Watermark Medical’s nationwide network in Q3 2011.

“We are focused on providing products to assist undiagnosed sleep apnea patients, and this agreement with Watermark Medical will broaden the awareness and diagnosis of sleep disordered breathing across the U.S.,” said Gijsbert Van Kampen, vice president of marketing, Respiratory Care at CareFusion.

Watermark Medical, Inc. is a privately held healthcare information technology company focused on improving the clinical outcomes of patients with chronic diseases. Watermark pioneered cloud-based HST for Obstructive Sleep Apnea by allowing primary care physicians to become the point of care for diagnostic testing. Its co-founders are serial entrepreneurs with a track record of building successful information technology companies and sales channels for medical service companies. Information technology management company CA Technologies (NASDAQ: CA) is Watermark’s largest investor. Currently, Watermark has a national direct sales force of more than 30 sales representatives covering all 50 states and approximately 2,000 distribution sales representatives. The company is headquartered in Boca Raton, FL.

CareFusion (NYSE: CFN) is a global corporation serving the health care industry with products and services that help hospitals measurably improve patient care. CareFusion develops market-leading technologies including Alaris® infusion pumps, Pyxis® automated dispensing and patient identification systems, AirlifeTM, AVEATM and LTVTM series of ventilators and VIASYS Respiratory Ventilation and Respiratory Diagnostic products, ChloraPrep® skin preparation products, V.
