Truven Health Analytics will address the role of big data in healthcare at America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) Institute 2013.

The session, presented by Truven Health Analytics senior vice president of health analytics Bob Kelley, will cover new trends in healthcare analytics that will enable personalized interventions similar to those currently provided in financial, retail, and social networking markets.

According to a release, the annual AHIP conference, which will take place June 12-14, at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, brings together the top minds in health plan management from across the country.

Truven Health's program, Leverage Big Data to Improve Population Health Management, will take place on June 14, at 7:30-8:30 AM. The session will outline the new ways big data is being deployed in healthcare to aid population health, lower fraud and waste, and lower costs.
