The Sanford Company Goes Live With DTI’s OASIS System

BOSTON April 5, 2005
Delphi Technology, Inc. (DTI), the leading provider of technology solutions to the professional liability insurance market, announced today that The Sanford Company (Sanford) has gone live with DTI's OASIS Claims Management system. Located in Macon, Georgia, Sanford offers consulting, administration, and insurance placement services to the healthcare industry.
DTI's OASIS program was deployed and ready to support Sanford's third party program administrator business in less than thirty days. Sanford will utilize OASIS to process Medical Malpractice, Professional and General Liability, Workers' Compensation and Directors & Officers Liability claims. Three users are currently using the system, with plans to add two more before the end of the year. Because Sanford is a start-up, data conversion was not necessary. Sanford administers claims for risks located in Georgia, South Carolina, Ohio, Missouri, Arkansas, and Arizona.
OASIS was deployed via a hosted solution, which means that OASIS will be maintained by DTI at an IBM Hosting Center, and Sanford users will access the software from their office in Georgia. This will allow Sanford to utilize all of the features of OASIS without the higher up-front costs associated with buying the software outright. (Associated costs include buying the required hardware on which to run the software). Additionally, the hosted option will allow Sanford to take advantage of the technical expertise at DTI, rather than developing that expertise in-house at a higher cost.
John Calloway, a Senior Vice President at Sanford, said, "We are pleased to be up and running so quickly. OASIS is performing well, as advertised. The hosted solution is a great option for us as we get our business up and running."
DTI's President Sam Fang noted, "We welcome Sanford as the newest member of our hosted clients. We are proud of being able to bring Sanford to production within 3 months of contract signing. As Sanford grows, we will be there to support them as a long-term partner."
