Seasoned Technology Executive Dr. Derya Pamukcu to Lead Adaptik Insurance Solutions’ Software Operations

BETHLEHEM, PA - February 8 - Adaptik Insurance Solutions today announced that Dr. Derya Pamukcu, Executive Project Manager and Architect at IBM, will join the company's senior management team as Vice President of Operations. "We are thrilled to have Dr. Pamukcu join our management team," said John Pettit, President of Adaptik. "Adaptik is going through a period of unprecedented growth, and Derya's breadth of experience successfully leading large-scale software development operations will be a critical asset to our organization and our customers."

"Companies today are constantly being challenged to improve their operating margins," commented Dr. Pamukcu. "After thoroughly examining Adaptik's highly flexible and comprehensive policy administration software it is easy to understand how it sharply reduces an insurance company's system development, hardware and maintenance costs, while enabling them to access business opportunities that were never before possible. This is a great opportunity and I am excited to be a part of Adaptik's future success," declared Dr. Pamukcu.

Prior to joining Adaptik, Dr. Pamukcu had a distinguished career at major institutions such as Bell Laboratories, AT&T, and IBM. He investigated software development technologies to accelerate deployment of large-scale projects at Bell Laboratories. Later, he worked as a Technology Leader and a Manager at AT&T, where he led development of large enterprise applications using web technology. At IBM Global Services he continued work on large-scale telecommunication systems as an Executive Project Manager and an Architect.

Dr. Pamukcu received a doctorate in 1987 from Louisiana State University, a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from Louisiana State University, and a Bachelor of Science from Bogazici University, Istanbul, Turkey. He is a member of the Project Management Institute and certified Project Management Professional.
