SBLI of Massachusetts Joins PTO Today In Honoring School Volunteers

“SBLI Superstar Volunteers” Program Recognizes Outstanding Contributions by Parents

WOBURN, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Savings Bank Life Insurance Company of Massachusetts (SBLI) is partnering with PTO Today in a new initiative that provides national recognition to parents who go above and beyond to support schools through volunteering.

From January through September 2012, PTO Today and SBLI will honor “SBLI Superstar Volunteers” from across the country who exemplify the dedication of the thousands of parents who volunteer countless hours to help out in their local schools through their PTO or PTA organizations. SBLI Superstar Volunteers will be selected by PTO Today and their stories will be featured on SBLI’s website. In addition, each SBLI Superstar Volunteer will receive a $500 donation for his or her school from SBLI.

“At a time when schools are struggling with budget cuts and dwindling resources, the support provided by parents willing to take time out of their busy lives to volunteer in their children’s schools has become increasingly important,” said SBLI President and CEO Robert K.
