Ron Harris, One of Transamerica Insurance & Investment Group’s Top Distributors, at New York Stock Exchange for Ringing of the Closing Bell
LOS ANGELES, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 09/13/10 -- Ron Harris, President of Matrix Direct Insurance Services in San Diego, was one of an elite group of Transamerica Insurance & Investment Group (TIIG) distributors invited to join Marty Flewellen, TIIG's President, and Michael Babikian, TIIG's Senior Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer, on the platform of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) for the ringing of the closing bell on Friday, May 21, 2010. These life insurance professionals were in New York City attending TIIG's meeting for leading agencies, which was held May 19-23.
Rudy Giuliani, 107th Mayor of New York City (1993-2001), served as keynote speaker at the opening session. After speaking on "Principled Leadership," Giuliani invited attendees to engage in a Q&A session with him.
During the meeting, Harris was recognized as one of TIIG's top distributors. Mayor Giuliani was on stage to congratulate him.
Visiting the NYSE was one of several events designed to honor TIIG's leading distributors.
"For most of us, ringing the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, so we wanted to invite the people who contributed so significantly to our success to enjoy this event first-hand," said Flewellen.
