Rising Legal Star Nour Shatleh Joins the Powell Law Firm in Unique Mentoring Opportunity

The Powell Law Firm of Pearland, Texas, recently announced they had selected Nour Shatleh to join their firm in a unique mentoring program. Shatleh will increase the firm's attorney staffing and gain the support of a small established firm while learning from the more experienced attorneys around her. She will work closely with both John S. Powell and his son John Powell III.

"The mentoring program was designed to be uniquely mutually beneficial," said Powell III of the announcement. "An attorney like Ms. Shatleh, right out of school gets real-world experience with the safety net of our staff, resources, and our combined decades of experience practicing law, and we get a talented, enthusiastic and reliable attorney on staff. The goal is to set Ms. Shatleh on the path to her own practice."

Ms. Shatleh graduated from the University of Houston Law Center in May of 2012, and was a Semifinalist in the Mediation Competition and a Quarterfinalist in the Moot Court Competition. She is writing her thesis as a candidate for the Master of Laws in Health Law from the same school in 2014. She previously worked in a private legal practice as an Associate, in risk management at the Texas Children's Hospital, and in the Harris County District Attorney's office.
