Ringwood accountant joins Bergen firm

Nov. 27--Independent Ringwood accountant Laura Ingraffea and her two staff members will soon combine with the larger Mahwah accounting firm Goldstein Lieberman & Co., according to a statement issued Monday by Goldstein Lieberman, which did not disclose the terms of the merger.

"I was attracted to the Goldstein Lieberman team because they understand the value of interacting on many levels so that clients know they are appreciated and therefore are retained," Ingraffea said in the statement.

Ingraffea, a certified public accountant with more than 28 years of experience, will, effective Dec. 2, become one of several senior managers at Goldstein Lieberman.

The tax accountant, who is also licensed to sell insurance and investment products, is a member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants and the National Association of Tax Professionals. She holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Montclair State University.

Ingraffea is a former president of the Ringwood Chamber of Commerce and she continues to serve on its board of directors.

"Ms. Ingraffea estimates that she has prepared approximately 25,000 income tax returns, including individuals and small businesses, during her career," Phillip Goldstein, managing partner, said in a statement.

"That impressive number will increase exponentially now that she has become a member of our rapidly expanding team."

Goldstein Lieberman, which has offices at One International Boulevard in Mahwah, focuses on serving closely held businesses.
