Richard (Rick) Rothman Joins Intercare Holdings Insurance Services as Executive Vice President for Business Development
ROSEVILLE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Richard R. Rothman, formerly a Managing Director of Cambridge Integrated Services Group, Inc., has joined Intercare Holdings Insurance Services, a workers’ compensation and liability third party administration and managed care services company, as Executive Vice President for Business Development. Intercare has offices in California, Washington, Nevada and Texas,
Mr. Rothman brings nearly three decades of upper management, sales and marketing leadership to his new responsibilities which will include business development, sales force management and strategic marketing analysis. In this capacity he will report directly to George “Mac” McCleary, Intercare’s Chief Executive Officer. Mr. McCleary explained that Mr. Rothman would be “looking at the scope of our services from both a geographic and business perspective and will be involved with me in stewarding the company’s growth both organically and through acquisitions, as appropriate.” He continued, “Because Rick has worked in all areas of our industry – workers’ compensation, liability and managed care --he brings a broad and balanced view of how to help further enhance and develop all lines of our business.”
In his nine year tenure as a Managing Director at Cambridge, Mr. Rothman was responsible for Specialty Divisions including Professional and Product Liability, Transportation, Reinsurance Claims, Information Technology and the Structured Settlement for Cambridge Gallaher. He also served the firm as President of its Absence Management Division as well as Executive Vice President of Business Development.
From 1997-1999, he was Senior Vice President of Presidium, Inc., where he positioned that company as a national service provider and led the transition and integration of the marketing staff into Cambridge upon the acquisition of Presidium by the then Aon Corporation-owned company.
Mr. Rothman began his career in 1981 with Gallagher Basset Services, Inc. where over a 16-year period he rose from a Loss Control Representative, to Executive Vice President of Business Development, and ultimately an Arthur J. Gallagher Corporate officer.
