Richard Frink Joins AXA Equitable as National Sales Manager

NEW YORK, Nov. 30, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company announced today that Richard Frink has joined the company as its 401(k) national sales manager for the Employer-Sponsored business. Frink will report to Mark Scalercio, senior vice president and head of AXA Equitable's Employer-Sponsored business.

"Rick brings a wealth of expertise to our Employer-Sponsored team," Scalercio said. "He will play an integral role in expanding our 401(k) business through multiple distribution channels. His appointment reinforces the company's commitment to becoming a premier defined contribution plan provider." 

Frink is responsible for leading the sales and business development of AXA Equitable's Retirement Gateway®401(k) product to AXA Advisors, LLC – the company's retail distribution network of approximately 5,000 financial professionals nationwide. His focus is on helping AXA Advisors financial professionals grow their business through 401(k) product education, coaching, sales support and service. Frink will also be responsible for launching third-party distribution of Retirement Gateway nationally.

Retirement Gateway is designed to fund retirement plans for the small- to mid-size market. Retirement Gateway includes a broad range of investment options; fiduciary support; administration support and service; and ongoing, interactive and customizable employee education and service. In addition to funding traditional 401(k) plans, Retirement Gateway supports other retirement benefit plan types including profit-sharing, age-weighted/new comparability plans, money purchase plans, Safe Harbor plan provisions and a Roth 401(k) feature.

Frink has more than 25 years of experience in the retirement plan market. Most recently, he was national marketing director, Retirement Plan Services for New York Life, where he spent the bulk of his career.

Frink earned a bachelor's degree from Long Island University.  He holds the FINRA Series 6, 26 and 63 licenses.
