Remsoft Announces Global Business of Forestry Conference for Brazil, April 2014

Global forest industry leaders will gather in Vitória, Brazil, April 1-2, 2014, for the Business of Forestry Conference, highlighting economic growth, environmental sustainability and getting the best value from our forests.

The invitation to attend the conference was issued jointly today by the three major sponsors, INFLOR Consultoria e Sistemas of Brazil, esri International and Remsoft of Canada.

Expert presenters and business leaders will discuss best practices, latest trends and sustainable management with the audience, expected to include about 200 individuals and companies in the global forest industry.

The full agenda is still in preparation but as of today companies such as, CMPC (Compañía Manufacturera de Papeles y Cartones), Eldorado, Weyerhaeuser Solutions, and Fibria will be presenting. It was confirmed today that Brent Keefer, Director of Resource Planning and Investment Strategy, Hancock Timber Resource Group, one of the largest timberland investment managers in the world, based in Boston, Massachusetts, will be a speaker. He will focus on how technology can mitigate risk by connecting timberland investment issues (investment risk) with resource planning technology.
