According to a release, the new Prevalent vendor threat intelligence platform, which works in concert with Prevalent's Vendor Risk Manager (VRM), allows organizations and IT professionals to continuously and proactively monitor key threat vectors from third-party providers across several relationship risk areas. These include:
Data Risk
Operational Risk
Financial Risk
"The need for a reliable and scalable third-party threat monitoring and risk management platform is undeniable, which is why vendor threat monitoring and third-party risk management are white hot topics at RSA 2014 and top of mind with CXOs and data-driven businesses," says
Prevalent said the combination of VTM and Prevalent VRM goes beyond point-in-time assessments by providing organizations with continuous monitoring and automated alerts of third-party risks and threats. This "real-time" risk and assessment helps enterprises adhere to industry compliance requirements and provides peace-of- mind by proactively identifying potential third-party risks before they become legal liabilities to the business. These best-in-class, cloud-based technologies help businesses automate, manage and monitor third- and fourth-party vendors with greater ease, efficiency and coverage across any number of vendor relationships.
Prevalent announced its next-generation Prevalent Vendor Risk Manager technology, which is also being showcased at RSA 2014. Available now, the product's new features and functionality include integrated support for Prevalent VTM, updates to shared assessments for SIG 2014 content that helps further analyze vendor security controls throughout an organization's data supply chain, expanded support for OCIL 2.0 surveys, enhanced risk scoring by category, and direct integrations with Veracode and Symantec Control Compliance Suite (CCS).
