Plymouth Rock Group of Companies Implementing StoneRiver’s Claims Stream™ and Customer Stream™

PR Newswire Association LLC

OAKLAND, Calif., June 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, StoneRiver Inc., the trusted insurance technology partner with solutions across multiple business lines,  announced the Plymouth Rock Group of Companies has selected and is currently implementing StoneRiver's Claims Stream™ and Customer Stream™ solutions. With the deployment of Claims Stream and Customer Stream, Plymouth Rock is making significant progress on its strategic goal of modernizing its core processing environment by leveraging new technologies and a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) to streamline operations for multiple companies, geographies and lines of business.

Plymouth Rock's plan is to deploy the full suite of StoneRiver Stream products; starting with Claims Stream, a browser-based claims administration system, and Customer Stream, a browser-based customer and vendor relationship management solution.

In addition to the streamlining of operations, implementation of Claims Stream and Customer Stream will enable the Plymouth Rock Group of Companies to:

  • Reduce operational costs and increase efficiencies;
  • Provide a consistent process and workflow across all lines of businesses and geographies;
  • Leverage the underlying enterprise bus for easier integration of third party systems;
  • Automate workflows; and
  • Offer a specialized and intuitive user interface for simplified user training and increased knowledge sharing.

"We have enjoyed a long and successful relationship with StoneRiver and felt very confident in selecting them again when we put our strategic plan in place to modernize our core processing environment," said Paul Luongo, President and CIO of Shared Technology Services Group Inc., the technology affiliate of the Plymouth Rock Group of Companies. "With StoneRiver, we will be able to take full advantage of the comprehensive Stream Suite and its service-oriented architecture.  StoneRiver has been great to work with to help us achieve our business goals."

StoneRiver's President and CEO Gary Sherne, added, "When an insurance company group like the Plymouth Rock Group of Companies chooses StoneRiver once and then looks to us again when it comes time to implement a new generation of core systems, it tells us we're doing something right.  It is very gratifying to know our clients have such confidence in us and recognize the value delivered through our products, our people, and our commitment to their success. We are well underway in the implementation of these two solutions and look forward to continuing our close work with the Plymouth Rock team as they rollout the complete Stream Suite."

With Claims Stream, P&C insurers have a web-based claims administration system for all personal and commercial lines. Claims are customer contact points that frequently influence retention rates, so it's critical that claims settlement is fast, whether the claim is large or small. Automation can help achieve that speed. The elegant look and navigation across the entire Stream solution set enables intuitive claims administration.

Customer Stream provides P&C insurers with a web-based customer and vendor relationship management solution for all personal and commercial lines of business. Customer Stream offers a single view of actionable information and carrier relationships that integrates easily with third party services and systems. No data is more important than actionable information regarding the visibility into business relationships, so it's essential that carriers manage customer and vendor information well.
