In a release, the Company noted:

John J. Kelly joined Pan-American Life Insurance Company's Board of Directors in 1994 and became Chairman in 2004. Under his leadership significant changes were made to the structure of the management team and Board of Directors, and he was instrumental in recruiting Jose S. A native of Queens, New York, Kelly received a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame in 1956, and in 1966 earned an MBA from St. John's University in Queens. "John is an extraordinary individual who has been a valuable mentor to me for company and community related matters. It has been a real pleasure for me to work closely with him over the last few years," said Jose S. Suquet, Chairman of the Board, President and CEO of Pan-American Life. "He, like Redfield and Robert, has made so many important contributions to the health and success of this company. Their insights and expertise will be missed."

Dr. Redfield E. Bryan joined Pan-American Life's Board of Directors in 1994. After obtaining his undergraduate and medical degrees from Louisiana State University and completing his internship and residency at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, Dr. Bryan went on to practice as a board certified urologist from 1967 until his retirement in 1997. He is now a consultant for FMOLHS Health System. Dr. Bryan is a founding member of The Urology Group and past chairman of Regions Bank of Baton Rouge and Guaranty Bank Corp.

Robert L. Pettit, Jr., a member of Pan-American Life's board since 1976, is a former Senior Investment Management Consultant and Executive Director of Equitas Capital Advisors, LLC. Prior to that position, he served as a Vice President of Prudential Securities from 1993 to 2002. Pettit is a member of the N.B.A. Legends Foundation board of directors as well as a member of the Investment Management Consultants Association.

"In working very closely with these three gentlemen, I have been lucky to have them involved in creating the vision for the future of Pan-American Life. Their efforts have positioned Pan-American Life for continued success," Suquet added.
