New Houston Plastic Surgery Website Launched
Houston Plastic surgeon Dr.
In his cosmetic surgery practice, Lapuerta offers a wide array of both invasive and non-invasive procedures to enhance any aspect of your physical appearance that you feel could use some improvement. The mass media have given cosmetic surgery a lot of coverage but not always accurate coverage and Dr. Lapuerta hopes to dispell some of those inaccuracies on his website.
“I’m hoping my website will be useful to many people because it does give accurate information on each plastic surgery procedure,” Dr. Lapuerta told reporters. “The best patient is a well-informed patient because when you understand your surgery and what to expect from it, you are usually happier with the results. Too many people come to my office asking to look like some celebrity, but that is not a productive way to approach cosmetic surgery.”
Dr. Lapuerta especially has experience in breast surgery and offers more than just the standard breast augmentation that you can read about any day. He also offers breast reduction; breast enhancement if your breasts are imbalanced in size or positioning; and breast reconstruction if you have had a mastectomy or other surgery.
While breast augmentation is given a lot of publicity, breast lift surgery tends to be overlooked. For many women it is the ideal procedure. Sometimes a woman assumes that augmentation is needed when a lift will accomplish the same effect by correcting the sag and moving the nipples higher on the breasts. No implants need to be inserted to restore your youthful contours.
Cosmetic surgery can also make dramatic improvements to a person’s facial appearance. A person who has lived for years with a nose size or shape they find embarrassing does not always realize that even bone can be changed by cosmetic surgery.
“We hear a lot about fat removal and smoothing out wrinkles, and these are both gratifying objectives to achieve,” says Dr. Lapuerta. “But it is not only soft tissue that can be modified by plastic surgery. If the nasal bone structure is too prominent, it can be reduced in a rhinoplasty, and if a breathing problem is solved in the same procedure, health insurance will cover part of the cost.’
Dr. Lapuerta does offer liposuction for removing unwanted fat. He also offers fat transfer procedures, where fatty tissue can be taken from areas where it is in excess and placed in areas that need more plumpness. Liposuction techniques have improved vastly over the 20 years or so that it has been readily available, so that now the procedure is quicker, easier, more effective, and simpler to recover from.
When approaching your cosmetic surgery procedure, it is important to understand what will be done and how to care for yourself afterwards. Rather than believing what you may have seen on television, why not visit Dr. Lapuerta’s new cosmetic surgery website and read about the procedures that interest you? You can schedule your personal consultation with Dr. Lapuerta whenever you are ready.
