New Hampshire Dems: NHDP on Latest Attacks from Scott Brown’s Big Oil Supporters

Targeted News Service

CONCORD, N.H., Jan. 10 -- The New Hampshire Democratic Party issued the following news:

New Hampshire Democratic Party Chair Ray Buckley released the following statement after the Koch Brothers and their Big Oil money purchased more ads attacking Jeanne Shaheen:

"More Texas Oil money from the Koch Brothers is pouring into New Hampshire, attacking our Senator Jeanne Shaheen to convince their Senator, Scott Brown to get in the race. When Scott Brown represented Massachusetts, he voted to protect the interests of Big Oil, consistently voted for billions of dollars in special interest tax breaks while collecting millions from Texas oil money and other big energy corporate interests in contributions to his campaign. No wonder Massachusetts voted him out and the Koch brothers are spending their Texas Oil money big to get him back in. Scott Brown is for Big Oil, not New Hampshire."

In his last campaign, Scott Brown was caught on video (http://nhdp.us6.list-manage.com/track/click?u=99da013f2bd49930e82805c66&id=3b093d6bfc&e=84e8a8b8fe) thanking David Koch for his money and pleading for even more Big Oil contributions. In total, Brown has accepted hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of campaign contributions from Big Oil.

To date, Scott Brown's Big Oil and Wall Street special interest supporters have spent almost $700,000 on ads attacking Jeanne Shaheen.

JEANNE SHAHEEN IS WORKING TO IMPROVE THE HEALTHCARE LAW

Shaheen Was The First Democrat To Call For Extension Of The ACA's Open Enrollment Period. "The Obama administration has faced growing pressure to extend the deadline to buy health coverage, especially since the problem-riddled launch of Healthcare.gov on Oct. 1. On Oct. 22, Sen. Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire became the first Democrat to make that call. 'Given the existing problems with the website, I urge you to consider extending open enrollment beyond the current end date of March 31, 2014. Allowing extra time for consumers is critically important so they have the opportunity to become familiar with the website, survey their options, and enroll,' Senator Shaheen wrote in a letter to the White House."
