New EKG Technician or Telemetry Technician Course Offered Online

Garden City, MI (PRWEB) May 26, 2011

Phlebotomy Career Training is only the school in Michigan offering an approved Telemetry Technician Program. The new Telemetry Program offers certification at the State and national level. Students are eligible to take the N.H.A. (National Healthcareer Association ) exam as Telemetry and EKG Technician . The best news is that students can increase their earning potential up to $19.00 per hour without having to pay the high cost of tuition.

This is an online course that students all over the U.S. are eligible to enroll. and become certified as a telemetry technician and EKG technician.

Students considering a new career as a Telemetry Technician or EKG technician through online study typically choose Phlebotomy Career Training school as their best resource. Professor Kimmel has designed and developed the curriculum for the course. Professor Kimmel's educational and teaching background is widely known and respected. Professor Kimmel's credentials include; RN, PhD, CHMM, CNAT, ACLS, author, inventor and educator in the fields of engineering, math, physics and nursing. Professors Kimmel's many years of experience as a telemetry and cardiovascular nurse has helped her to formulate a solid online learning platform.

Students feel secure knowing that upon course completion their certification is recognized. Professor Kimmel states: “Many hospital's across the U.S. which hire our students, do not require the national exam. The hospitals nurse educators feel that the content of the course is sufficient for the students to be hired on as Telemetry Technicians.”

Students who wish to certify nationally are eligible to take the C.R.A.T. (Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician) Exam offered by the Cardiovascular Credentialing international as well as the N.H.A.'s EKG Technician examination. Students will receive upon successful completion of the course, a certification from phlebotomy career training with a seal and certificate number. They will also receive a letter of course completion which they will allow them to sit for the National EKG tech certification through the NHA and or the CRAT exam.

This is as very intensive online course that prepares students to enter the field of EKG and Telemetry at hospitals, cardiovascular clinics and Telemetry clinics.    Students can also work independently through insurance companies.

This exciting career requires online study and a final exam which the students can take in the privacy of their home.

Many of the students taking this course are previously experienced in health care and are looking to earn that extra certification which will make them more marketable or give them the edge that they need for job advancement.

Phlebotomy Career Training is Sate and nationally approved. Hospitals that have used the online Telemetry/EKG course include St. Anthony’s hospital l in Colorado and Hays Medical Center in Kansas.

The course fee for the online certification is $175. Compare this to the fees of over $5000 for courses offered on site at other schools. Phlebotomy career training is dedicated to providing the best education at affordable pricing - to enroll in either a campus class or online training please visit the Phlebotomy Career Training school courses page.

It is the goal of Phlebotomy career training to help students get the real training they need by using an interactive tutorials with current documented up to date information on cardiac rhythms, with the most up to date knowledge.

Students from Phlebotomy career training know the importance of patient care and the responsibilities that go with having a job that requires the utmost concentration and skill. A Telemetry Technician reads cardiac monitors and interprets the rhythms. The telemetry technician or rhythm technician is able to recognize dangerous and lethal rhythms. They are able to notify the patients nurse and thus help save the patient's life. Reading telemetry rhythm and applying and performing EKG's is a necessary part of cardiovascular health for those with heart problems.

Phlebotomy Career Training feels that students must know not only how to interpret the rhythms, but also s how to recognize the effects of certain medications that affect the heart rate. That is why a large section of the online program is dedicated to the cardiovascular effects of heat medications and other type of pharmaceuticals on the cardiovascular system.

The time frame for the online course is one month. Students have access to to all online tutorials and tests and they can watch actual rhythms in real time.

Professor Kimmel is currently developing more courses which no other school in the State of Michigan offers. These courses will be offered only at Phlebotomy Career Training. These new lines of study include; Cardio-Phlebotomy Technician course and I.V. Technician course.

Professor Kimmel States; “I believe in giving students the edge that they need to get jobs and help save lives. That is why I develop courses containing a mix of disciplines. I ask myself, who would you hire? A Phlebotomist, who only knows how to draw blood, or a Cardio-Phlebotomist that can draw blood, take vital signs, start and IV and read a telemetry monitor?”
