Mountain Lions to practice today at Rio Linda High [The Sacramento Bee, Calif.]
Aug. 28--The Mountain Lions will hold a practice and an intrasquad scrimmage today at Rio Linda High School, the team announced.
Coach Dennis Green said he temporarily moved training camp from Harvard Corporate Center because the school's field has turf similar to that at Sac State, where the Mountain Lions will play their home games.
Today's practice begins at 8:45 a.m. The scrimmage is scheduled to start at 2:30 p.m. There is no admission charge, and parking is free.
The team will resume its workouts Monday at Harvard Corporate Center.
The Mountain Lions open their United Football League season Sept. 18 at Hartford, Conn. Their home opener is 8 p.m., Sept. 25 against Florida.

Hendricks leaving Del Oro
Two-time All-Sierra Foothill League guard Aaron Hendricks is leaving Del Oro High School and transferring to New Hampton School in New Hampton, N.H., for his senior year.
Chris Hendricks, Aaron's father, said the move is being made so his son can focus on enhancing his academics while also pursuing his dream of playing Division I college basketball.
The 6-foot-1 Hendricks was the Golden Eagles' leading scorer (18.4 points per game) and their top three-point shooter last season (48). He averaged 14 points as a sophomore.
Chris Hendricks, the vice president of interactive media for The McClatchy Company, said his son is expected to stay at New Hampton for a postgraduate year as well.
-- Standout basketball player Remi Barry, who transferred to Del Oro as a senior but was declared ineligible by the CIF, has enrolled at New Mexico State.
