MoreVRP Delivers Breakthrough IT Performance Management Capability via Instantaneous Operating System Transaction-level Optimization

New Version Features Five New Product Modules; Enterprise Solution Suites Designed for Leading Application, Database, and Datacenter Configurations; and Full Support for Microsoft SQL Server

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- More IT Resources Ltd. (MORE) today announced the availability of MoreVRP (Virtual Resource Partitioning) Enterprise Edition 4.0, the industry’s only instantaneous solution for optimizing business-critical application and hardware performance at the Operating System transaction-level. Enterprise Edition 4.0 introduces five innovative new modules designed to help CIOs, system administrators, application managers, database administrators and other IT stakeholders apply real-time insight, proactive and reactive control of the allocation of OS resources, and variance reporting to improve management of IT assets. The modules further enhance MoreVRP’s unprecedented combination of instantaneous monitoring, real-time resource control, best-in-class analytics, and fast integration. Additionally, the new modules have been integrated into a set of new preconfigured Enterprise Solution Suites to provide IT teams with a variety of packaged solutions for different needs, all of which optimize response time, eliminate resource bottlenecks, and provide the highest level of Quality of Service (QoS) and compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Underlying the major enhancements to Enterprise Edition 4.0 is the unique VRP technology, a state-of-the-art real-time engine that enables real-time control of otherwise inaccessible OS-level resources. MoreVRP perfects IT performance by enabling OS-level discovery and resolution of bottlenecks that interfere with the completion of application, database (DB), and system transactions. The VRP technology powers the industry’s only solution to identify and reallocate CPU and I/O resources at the OS transaction-level, enabling IT teams to achieve the most efficient utilization of OS resources and maximize the ROI on existing hardware and software investments.

MoreVRP Enterprise Edition 4.0’s New Modules

Variance Graphs
Variance enables exceptionally thorough and rapid drill-down and comparative analysis to pinpoint acute performance problems, such as in bottlenecks during production, migrations, updates and war room sessions, in just seconds to minutes and to resolve them immediately, minimizing MTTR to almost zero. This reduces risks and improves decision-making.

Tuning Task Manager
The Tuning Task Manager identifies and tracks improvement of poorly tuned transactions, enabling companies to not only resolve performance issues on the spot, but also prevent future crises.

Business Rules Wizard
The Business Rules Wizard provides application end-users with an easy-to-use tool to quickly adapt resource allocation rules according to their specific business needs.

System Resource Manager
The Rules Engine for OS is a system resource manager that automatically allocates resources to active OS processes and events, bringing real-time control to the system administrator level, in parallel with DB and application management.

Integration Pack
The Integration Pack module enables fast integration and easy customization through SOAP, SOA, Web services and scripting, empowering MoreVRP to trigger virtually any event and to be tailored to fit the differing needs of any enterprise IT environment.

The five new modules have been integrated with the Company’s twelve existing modules to create MoreVRP’s new Enterprise Suite Solutions. These preconfigured packages have been designed to offer industry-leading Application, Database, and Datacenter configurations that address the distinct challenges facing different stakeholders in today's complex IT environments.

The Application Suite Solutions offer tailored packages for:

  • Oracle E-Business Suite
  • PeopleSoft Enterprise
  • Siebel CRM

Database Suite Solutions manage leading databases such as:

  • Oracle
  • IBM DB2
  • NEW! MS SQL Server

Datacenter Solutions include:

  • Server Consolidation
  • Operating System Optimization

“More IT Resources has a unique approach to IT performance by managing resource allocation in real-time at the OS transaction level,” said Dick Csaplar, Senior Research Analyst for Storage and Virtualization at the Aberdeen Group. “MoreVRP allows for greater density of applications in a virtualized environment and higher utilization rates for existing servers and I/O devices, providing great advantages to MORE's customers.”

“MoreVRP helps enterprises perfect IT performance, QoS, and utilization of hardware and software at the OS-level to optimally manage IT resources,” says Eliran Malki, CEO of More IT Resources. “Companies can leverage the preconfigured rules modules in the Enterprise Suites to achieve up to eight times faster response time on transactions under load and reduce performance penalties by up to forty percent per year.”

Support for Microsoft SQL Server
MoreVRP Enterprise Edition 4.0 also includes full support for Microsoft SQL Server databases, adding real-time control to the already available MoreVRP for SQL Server monitoring solution. With this enhancement, MoreVRP can now optimally manage all traffic generated by databases of almost any type across the IT environment, ensuring maximum availability, stability, and resource utilization.

MoreVRP can be installed during production without any downtime or changes to the environment in an hour or so.
