More Than Half of Londoners Have not Bought Life Insurance
Scotland rates highest for life insurance
London, UK (PRWeb UK) December 23, 2009 -- Post Office Life Insurance is advising people to check their life insurance policies following recent research which showed that some eight per cent of London residents do not currently have a life insurance policy although they have had cover in the past and nationwide, research has found that one in twelve life insurance policyholders has allowed their cover to lapse .
The research also showed that London residents rank lowest in the UK when it comes to taking out in life insurance . Just 34 per cent of Londoners possess in a life insurance policy, compared to 62 per cent in Scotland and 42 per cent in Northern Ireland.
The overall research results showed that almost half of respondents (41 per cent) do not currently hold a life insurance policy at all. Post Office Life Insurance is advising that life insurance is important to protect family, investments and cover funeral costs. But it is important when seeking out a life insurance policy, to ensure your chosen life insurance policy meets your individual circumstances.
Post Office Life Insurance urges consumers considering a life insurance policy to research their options carefully and speak to insurers for advice about appropriate levels of life insurance cover.
