Momentous Insurance Brokerage Launches Equine Specialty Practice [Professional Services Close – Up]

Momentous Insurance Brokerage recently launched an Equine Specialty Practice to provide insurance solutions for horse-related businesses and private horse owners.

In a release, the Company said that products include but are not limited to private equine liability, equine mortality, commercial equine liability, and farm and ranch protection. The move simply organized existing equine business as a new dedicated unit, allowing the Momentous experts to focus on what they do best, and positioning the firm for future growth in this niche.

Equine Practice Leader Terri Peters has been in the insurance industry since 1976, specializing in commercial lines and equine risk, and she has owned and ridden horses since the age of 5. Terri turned professional in 2003 and currently coaches and trains Hunt Seat Equitation and Jumpers, with riders competing at the local and regional level shows.

Christina DiSalvo was recruited as a Sales Executive due to her expertise in personal lines and equine risk. Christina has owned and ridden horses since the age of 6. She currently trains her own horses, specializing in Dressage and Sport Horse Driving.

"I was once told that most equine insurance practices either have agents who know insurance or know horses, but never both," explains DiSalvo. "We have both, and that's what sets us apart and makes us better able to understand our clients (horses and owners) and their insurance needs."

Momentous said that Peters and DiSalvo will be at the Horse Expo Pomona, a premier equine event for horse people in North America taking place February 2-4. At their exhibit booth they'll offer onsite insurance consultation, complimentary quotes, and each day there will be a raffle prize drawing.
