Medicare Supplement Company Rankings

PR Web

Omaha, NE (PRWEB) March 25, 2014

FreeMedicareReport.com, a leader in analyzing Medicare supplement plans, with help from CSG Actuarial, has ranked the top ten Medicare supplement companies for the beginning of 2014.

Premium price for Medicare supplement plans is one of the most important factors when making a decision on which insurance company to purchase your plan through. The plan benefits are regulated for most states and all plans provide the same benefits.

An Old Surety Plan F in Texas will have the exact same benefits as a Humana Plan F in Florida. Selecting your insurance company becomes the important decision when benefits are consistent. Current premium price and future price increase estimates should be analyzed when searching for a Medicare supplement plan.

Prices for Medicare supplement insurance vary wildly between companies within the same state. One insurance company is currently selling a Medigap Plan F (65 year-old female) for around $100 monthly premium in Texas and another company in Texas has priced their Plan F for over $210. The companies in this example have the same benefits and demonstrate the importance of comparing all Medicare supplement options.

Another example of volatility in Medigap pricing:

Georgia (30284) | Plan F (65 year-old female)

Lowest Monthly Premium = $124.59
Highest Monthly Premium = $250.00

You would save over $1,500 per year if you selected the lowest premium instead of the highest premium in Georgia.

FreeMedicareReport.com has provided company rankings based on average premium across all states below.
