NVCC's "Medical Billing, Coding, and Collections" class will be taught by
"This class is a great introduction into the medical billing field. I cover all aspects involved in medical billing as well as the medical billing process from beginning to end," says Katie.
Part one of the two part class consists of lecture and theory. A few of the topics that will be covered in the class are claim preparation, documentation, reimbursements, and collections.
Part two of the class will be a hands-on computerized class. Participants will learn about data entry, claim adjustments, write-offs as well as other topics, with an introduction to medical billing software and management. The class will also review real life billing situations.
Part one and Part two of the program both consist of four sessions each. They will help students prepare to enter the medical billing field as well as those who would like a career change. As medical billing standards change and become more complicated medical offices and medical billing companies will be seeking qualified individuals to manage the billing process.
