Maverick Trading to Recruit Traders at Las Vegas Traders Expo

Source:  PR Newswire Association LLC

SALT LAKE CITY, Nov. 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Premier proprietary trading firm Maverick Trading announced today that it planned to recruit up to 10 traders for its Stock/Options Division at the Las Vegas Traders Expo, November 16-19 at the Bally/ParisConvention Center.

Principals of the firm, Robb Reinhold and Jon Frohlich, will be featured speakers on interactive panels during the expo, speaking on both strategies of successful prop firm traders and the foreign exchange market.

In addition to scheduled speaking engagements, Maverick's management will be on hand throughout the expo conducting a series of mini-seminars on trading and discussing what differentiates successful professional traders from those who have yet to achieve success. Maverick's recruiting team will be on hand as well to discuss specific aspects of the firm with potentially interested traders.

Founder and Head Trader Robb Reinhold commented on the increasing interest traders have been focusing on proprietary trading: "Most trading systems and prop firms treat trading as a superhero event: it's just you versus the rest of the market. One of the major factors that has made Maverick so successful is that we treat trading as a team event. The firm's compensation structure is designed so that traders not only have a vested interest in their own accounts, but an interest in their fellow traders being successful as well. The result is an atmosphere of mentorship and support within the firm's community of traders."

As Head of Operations Jon Frohlich commented, "In a bull market, everyone is a genius. It's when the market tops, trades sideways, and then trades down that retail traders look for assistance. Maverick's goal is to create professional traders that can prosper in any market environment. The success the firm has enjoyed has given us more capital to back our traders and also allowed us to go out and recruit more traders. The type of profitable success Maverick has enjoyed really feeds on itself and we're looking forward to it continuing in the future."

When asked what the firm is looking for in new traders, Reinhold answered, "Trading experience is really a secondary consideration when we're evaluating a potential trader. The firm's recruiters are looking for traders who are willing to learn the firm's risk management and trading systems and are dedicated to becoming the best traders they can. A trader has to convince us that he or she is willing to invest the time and effort into becoming a professional trader, not just be attracted to the lifestyle."

Darren Fischer, Head of West Coast Operations, continued Frohlich's point: "What really impressed me before I joined the firm a couple years ago was the time, effort, and resources that Maverick invests in its traders prior to them trading live. It was apparent from the start that the firm really had a vested interest in its traders being profitable from day one."

Maverick's attendance at the Las Vegas Traders Expo caps off a busy year for the firm, including a focused recruiting effort at the Dallas Traders Expo in June, two invitation-only Traders Summits for members of the firm, and publication of the firm's flagship trading methodology in Maverick Trading: Professional Techniques for Creating Generational Wealth, available from McGraw-Hill in December.
