Life Button 24 by World Wide Security Provides Medical Alerts for Falls with GPS Locating
| PR Web |
For the mobile senior, Life Button 24 not only provides a two-way communications device to assist in an emergency, but it will also summon help in the event of a fall or should a loved one become lost. The newest features in Life Button 24 Freedom not only provide users with all the communications functions of being in-touch with an emergency dispatch center but with added alerting for falls, GPS locating and automated systems check-up on the unit. “Life Button 24 Freedom is an inconspicuous wearable device that provides peace-of-mind for anyone who is concerned for their safety in the event of any emergency,” stated
In the event of emergency users will press the SOS button to engage the two-way communications function with the emergency dispatch center. Information on the user such as the location, medical information and response protocols set up by the user, are immediately accessed. “Should one of our clients have a medical condition that may render them unable to speak, our dispatch team would alert EMS and stay on the line until help arrived. This is a great function for any health condition as seconds count during an emergency,” explained
The device has become an important tool in helping people maintain independence while offering assurance to loved ones. “Another great feature that family members find comfort in is the GPS locating function. Should a person becomes lost or disoriented while on vacation, or out doing errands, the emergency dispatcher can locate them,” added Fischer. The Life Button 24 Freedom system can be set up with geographical boundaries, which has been found to be very helpful for at risk populations. Should the user leave the area, the emergency dispatch center will begin tracking the user’s location and alert the contact list to the person’s whereabouts. Should emergency response be warranted this too will be initiated.
Life Button 24 is also unique in the unit’s ability to supervise itself to ensure the unit is working correctly. The Freedom unit, unlike other systems, has a built-in check-up function which will let the user know when the battery is getting low, when the button is on, if the button is communicating with the dispatch center and all other functions are working correctly. “This is just another way to insure the integrity of the product works to meet the needs of its users.”
