Kony, Inc., an enterprise mobility company, has announced that the Kony Multi-Channel Experience Cloud has been named HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) compliant by an independent third-party, BrightLine.

According to a release, this verification states that Kony's cloud-based solutions have the necessary administrative, physical and technical safeguards in place to ensure that mobile applications developed and deployed on its platform provide the safety and security of customer's protected health information (PHI).

Security is a primary concern for healthcare organizations when it comes to customers' personal information accessible via mobile devices. Protecting this end user data on healthcare applications is of the utmost importance.
