Jacobson retires after 46 years in area banking [The Jamestown Sun, N.D.]

Jacobson retired on Friday after 46 years in banking.
"It means No. 1 that she enjoyed her job -- she enjoyed her customers immensely," said
Martin has worked with Jacobson for the past 32 years, and said it will be tough to see her go.
"It's going to be an adjustment, but we all know it's a positive adjustment for her," Martin said. "We're happy for her."
Since 1965, Jacobson has held a number of positions within the same banking system. She started with a summer job as a bookkeeper, back when all the records were kept in actual books and not computers.
From there she has been a teller, loan officer, mortgage lender and a financial specialist in investments and insurance.
Still after 46 years, Jacobson said aside from a few changes the job has remained the same.
"I just feel that's there's a lot more technology then when I started, but other than that it's helping the customers," she said.
She said her secret for working in the same field for 46 years are the customers day in and day out.
"I really enjoy my customers, I enjoy my work and I just work for an awesome corporation," she said. "
In her retirement Jacobson plans to spend time relaxing, visiting her children in
"I'm just going to go home and enjoy life," she said.
