Jack Hannigan Named Farmers Insurance Executive Vice President—Independent Agency Operations
LOS ANGELES, Dec. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Farmers Insurance Group of Companies® announces the appointment of Jack Hannigan, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer—Independent Agency Operations to Executive Vice President—Independent Agency Operations at Farmers' Home Office in Los Angeles, effective immediately.

Mr. Hannigan began his career at Foremost Insurance Company in 1983 as Vice President of Administration and was named to the position of Senior Vice President in 1985. In May 1986 he was elected Executive Vice President of Operations, with responsibility for information systems, policy operations, corporate facilities and human resources.
In 1989 Mr. Hannigan became Executive Vice President of Agency Marketing and assumed responsibility for corporate marketing in 1991. In 1997 claims was added to Mr. Hannigan's area of responsibility. His title was changed to Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer—Independent Agency Operations for Farmers Specialty – Foremost, and then revised to Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer—Independent Agency Operations for Farmers Group, Inc., in 2005. Mr. Hannigan was promoted to Senior Vice President in January 2006.
Mr. Hannigan holds a Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in business administration from Notre Dame University.
Mr. Hannigan and wife Vickie are in the process of moving to the Los Angeles area from Ada, Mich.
