InPro Acquires Industrial Insurance Services [Manufacturing Close – Up]

To further its targeted growth in the metro-Detroit area, InPro Insurance Group, a Troy, Mich.-based independent insurance agency, announced the acquisition of Industrial Insurance Services, Inc. of Troy.

According to a release on July 2, through the agreement, the Industrial Insurance Services team and book of health insurance business will be integrated into InPro's existing personal, commercial, and life and health business. The terms of the agreement, which became effective July 1, were not disclosed.

"As a family-owned company with an established local history, the Industrial Insurance Services acquisition is a good opportunity to further expand InPro's local reach and capabilities," said Dave Goodman, president, InPro Insurance Group. "Its established healthcare insurance business will strengthen our existing book of business and be a key driver of InPro's strategic growth in the metro-Detroit area."

The Industrial Insurance Services team -- including Paul Pomerleau, Chuck Pomerleau, Kristin Hendren and Kate DiAntonio -- will join InPro'sTroy office, gaining access to the company's portfolio of commercial and personal insurance products and resources. As an independent agency, InPro represents many of the nation's property and casualty insurance companies, including Travelers, Hartford, Hanover, Accident Fund, Philadelphia and Auto Owners, in addition to healthcare insurers.

InPro currently employs 28 professionals counseling clients regarding personal, commercial, and life and health insurance needs.
